33/34 Ford Fuel Gauge electrical modification

I want to keep the original 33/34 Ford fuel gauge appearance in the dash, modifying the gauge to connect to an electrical 12v fuel sendung unit from the tank.
I have dissassembled the original gauge, keeping the oval bezel and glass and am now trying to find a 12v gauge that i can cut and modify to fit into / behind the original oval bezel and glass. I dont want to cut a hole into the dash to fit a different model electric fuel gauge.
A under dash accessory gauge e.g. SW 12v round fuel gauge is an option, but i would prefer not to have anything additional but the original shape to fit back into the dash panel.
My question: has anyone done such a conversion / modification?
What donour gauge works with the original oval bezel and glass?

Can anyone help or even supply me with a modified gauge or parts for the conversion / modification?
Thanks for the help

You might talk to Williamson's Instruments (Arkansas) and get his take on it. They repair all kinds of gauges and modify ones for 12 volt

Thank you Paul for the reference. I wil ask them. In the meantime i got a picture from deuce lover of a modified 34 gauge. The gentleman who did this some time back and offered this service, has sadly passed away.
Can anyone identify the donour gauge that was used to replace the original mechanical unit?

This gauge was done in France and not by the fellow that passed away.
