‘87 f250 u-joints... I’m laid up at the moment so I could use a little info. I need new u-joints for my ‘87 f250, 351ci, automatic, two wheel drive. Checked RockAuto and there seems like hundreds!
How many do I need? I’d think two, one rear and one front or is there a third? Then of course there are apparently size differences? They’re freakin u-joints!!! So how many do I need? By the way I’m fully stocked on sarcasm... |
Re: ‘87 f250 u-joints... Motor Master part number: 3437-FD front universal joint,
Center universal joint: 3437-D, Rear: 3437-C, MOOG: 354 front&rear, Center: 434, There's 3X universal joints, ANY automotive retail store will carry or have them or a driveshaft shop. |
Re: ‘87 f250 u-joints... Thanks!

Re: ‘87 f250 u-joints... Changing them is not one of my favorite repairs. I always think a helper to keep everything aligned is good.

Re: ‘87 f250 u-joints... I always paint witness marks so I can ensure the driveshaft goes back on correctly. I’ve always use a vise to get the joints out but I did pick up a 40 ton press awhile back from PA clearance sale for $200 CDN so I’ll have an excuse to finally use it!
