12v Optima battery Will one of these fit into the under floor battery location for my 36 Ford? Thinking about just
setting it on its side and just using some sorta bungee cord to keep it in place. terry |
Re: 12v Optima battery You’ll have to modify your battery holder. No bid deal, it’s been done before for 6v optima’s, just a more radical mod for the 12v.

I used a 1" wide tie strap to secure it. A rubber cord will allow it to bounce, something I'd rather not allow with a battery. |
Re: 12v Optima battery I'm kinda off the Optima's. Started using the small thin Odyssey's. They work in any position but upside down. Lots of cranking power. The one I'm using is a PC 1100.

Re: 12v Optima battery Thanks for the help fellas. I am wondering how price of the Odyssey compares to
the Optima. Just noticed the Optimas are made in Mexico. There must be the hidden teriff cost on them. |
Re: 12v Optima battery With a little shopping I found the PC1100 for $325 with free 3 day shipping. You do need to purchase a pair of their screw on terminal adapters about $20 bucks. More than an Optima but the one under the seat of my deuce pickup is 6 years old. May die tomorrow? One other thing, mine said made in the USA!
