1940 Pickup - Ebrake Cable Hold Down 3 Attachment(s)
On the e-brake cable there is a hold down that you can bolt to somewhere. I don't see an obvious spot where this would go. On my 1950 I believe it went to a transmission bolt, but I don't think the cable is routed the same way on a 1940
Attached are three pictures, which I hope will make clear what I'm asking. The black hold down on the cable. Thanx, Kirk |

Re: 1940 Pickup - Ebrake Cable Hold Down Actually I found my answer in Kube's book. It was hiding at the bottom of page 4-37.
"Also, the emergency brake cable clip (01A-2279) was fastened directly beneath the rearmost bolt head" (of reinforcement bracket 01A-5032) ref: pg-4-37, "Its Ford for '40", Mike Kubarth That along with a picture Kube had previously sent me, made me realise I was trying to bring the ebrake cable up the wrong side of the frame rail. it should come up on the inside of the inner frame rail, and go under the clutch equalizer shaft.
