1956 engine mounts

Is there any difference on a 1956 6 cylinder and a v-8 cylinder frame mount cradle

Now are we describing the flange mounting brackets welded to the engine mounting cross-member or the actual insulators?

The flange mounting brackets on the crossmember

Re: 1956 engine mounts

I would think they are the same with the engine mounts being the difference.

Mine originally came with a 6 but now has a V8. But my mounts are custom made as is non original V8.

The actual flange(s) itself is the same as there was no separate 6CYL or 8CYL frame released. The cross-member itself is a part of the complete frame assy.

The difference is in the insulators and 6CYL block mounting brackets on the 6CYL.
