I just finished restoring another rather rare generator. This one is for a 1933 flathead V8 - a one year only generator. It is the first year for the fork mount and last year for the unvented end plates. The armature was tested for opens, shorts and grounds, commutator serviced and windings sealed with glyptal. The field coils were previously refurbished, but were removed and tested. It has my double row angular contact sealed bearing conversion with custom machined spacers. New brushes, insulators, oilers and hardware. The band is date coded N1 (January 1933). It has a correct, refurbished Ford cutout installed. Its been bench tested up to 16 amps, then set to 5-6 amps for normal daytime driving.

Price is $350 plus $29 shipping and insurance to a US address from Fredericksburg Virginia. I'l bring it along with about 20 other restored generators to the Charlotte Auto Fair April 3-5. Stop by and check them out. Red field BR 54-55.

Questions welcome!

Steve
