Glued 38 windshield I’ve removed the nine screws but now I’ve discovered that the glass has been set with some sort of sealant instead of glass setting tape. Is there any hope for getting the two halves apart?

Re: Glued 38 windshield I would try some solvents to liquify the sealant, maybe acetone.

Re: Glued 38 windshield gentle heat might work also.

Re: Glued 38 windshield Take care to prevent solvents from touching your paint job.

Re: Glued 38 windshield Are you trying to save the glass? If you plan to replace the glass then you can break up the old glass and work it out of the frame a piece at a time.

Re: Glued 38 windshield No, the glass is all broken anyways
|
Re: Glued 38 windshield Proceed as suggested. You just don't have to break the glass, someone else did it for you already. LOL

Re: Glued 38 windshield Wear gloves ! Ask me how I know

I busted it out and was able to pry the sealant out of the groove. |
