Sun Visor Kit?

I need a new top for my ‘28 Tudor. I went looking and as an aside: do you all realize almost no one is making roof kits anymore? I don’t know why that fact hasn’t made someone go “hey this may be a good side hustle business” …. But I digress.

So I found Classtique - I had written them a few years back but couldn’t remember their name. I found their price list and saw on it there was a roof kit…..and an “outside sun visor kit” for 28/29

Most A’s I’ve seen have had a painted visor. Seeing the note in their price list it triggered a memory that my visor has always looked weird. So I went out and took a pic - did my sun visor have the roof fabric on it? It’s looking like it did. Does anyone have pictures of what it should look like?

'28-'29 trucks had a fabric visor; maybe that is why they have that listing. Cars are metal.

Always learning stuff. Never seen fabric on a car visor on all the '28-'29 cars I have dealt with; but on the other hand they were pretty much all field cars and most likely lost the covering to weather.

If you zoom in you can see fabric that looks like it came down over the visor. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...48fbd2cb3a.jpg

The Judging Standards state that the 1928-29 Sport Coupe,
Business Coupe, Standard Coupe, Special Coupe, Tudor, Fordor
Leatherback, Closed Cab and 150-A Station Wagon had a visor covered with the same material as the top.

The mass production go to company Lebaron Bonney went the way of the dodo bird some time ago. Cartouche followed suit in short order due to buy out problems and tough times. Classtique and a few others are more model A/T only type businesses so far and as survivors, they are back logged with more business than they can do in the near term. Be prepared to wait in line for a while when ordering their products. I hear that Classtique is getting closer to catching up but I think all of them have problems finding experienced help to upscale their production.

The 28/29 cars matched their visors to the roof material for the most part. The 30/31 cars did paint the visors to match the body color but are mounted in a more permanent way to the front of the body.

Budd made most if not all truck and commercial pickup cabs. The late 1931 cabs were the first of the solid top cabs but they aren't as common as the soft top 82 series cabs.
