Blue Bell's mode of delivery may have changed over the years since that truck first made... but not their logo! nor their delicious flavors.... Been enjoying BB ice cream for decades! always the same delicious taste. Homemade Vanilla their most popular. Makes awesome cones, shakes or hot fudge sundaes, too. mostly a southern states supplier, it is avail all US States and can be shipped overseas, too. Reportedly, the company makes 66 flavors. Few years back they shut down operations... to the horror and dismay of millions.:eek::eek: a quality control issue at the time. would they ever reopen? was on local news constantly! but... reopen they did!! i can remember buying Blue Bell 1/2 gallons for $3.99. then for years the grocery stores had them at $4.99. then the shutdown. they came back at $6.99, then $7.99. the price jumps a few often based on promotions. a regular deal we take them up on is 2 1/2 gallons for $5.99 each. up at my ranch... there out in the country is a country store... and they want $8.95 1/2 gallon. not a bad deal since it is right there and doubt it would do well traveling, even in cooler. etc. some flavors can be gold band some can be brown band. rural towns often charge bit more for the gold. but at the country store and here in big city... both color bands same price. when we get BB ice cream reaction is always a: :D when we get other brands reaction is usually a:  link to Blue Bell Products: https://www.bluebell.com/our-products/ |
Re: 32 dairy truck You can learn to enjoy new flavors and food textures, but they can never replace those you grew up with ...Unless you spent your first earned dollar on a bottle of marachino cherries and can't stand the smell of them ever since.

Re: 32 dairy truck I am fairly certain this is a photograph from "modern times" taken at Greenfield Village in Michigan.

Re: 32 dairy truck The picture was taken in Brenham Texas at the Bluebell Creamery. That truck has been on display for years. Google's street view allows you to see the building and truck, just not as close.
