I'm thirsty. Here's a 1935 157" stake truck and a super cool 1936 panel truck ready to deliver beer.

Re: Big beer truck Taylor Walker must be a relative of mine. We share the same last name and good taste in trucks and drink. LOL Tim

Re: Big beer truck Anyone remember the 3 Stooges short where they delivered beer and then destroyed a golf course? They were driving a stake body (Ford?) maybe a 36 loaded with kegs. I think it was titled “Three little beers”.

Re: Big beer truck In my younger days it was not uncommon at all for the delivery drivers to have a beer at each stop. Professional beer drinkers you might say

Re: Big beer truck When I was in the hospital 25 years ago I good friend gave me a VHS copy of the Three Stooges "Three Little Beers". It features a 1935 Ford Model 51, hence my interest. Here it is on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNVTxHARfZ8

Re: Big beer truck At 14:43 in the short, when the parking brake "lets go" it's not a Ford truck featured. Also, lot's of doubles used in the ending beer keg rolling scene.
The truck is a 1935 Model 51 stake with optional dual wheels and an optional spare tire. Looks like it's probably a red painted truck. No other options seen. |
