Facial similarities say 'Mom', in my view. Is that a British or Aussie WWII cap he has on?

LOL! g/f, no doubt! https://fonts.gstatic.com/s/e/notoem...64_fe0f/32.png

WWI? I did not watch it, but there was a Laurel & Hardy movie on the tv this morning. The boys had just 'returned from battle'.... WWI... which had ended 20 years prior! lol ;)

Fords in Film digression:
1938 Laurel and Hardy “Blockheads” has Stan Laurel still at his post in France 20 years after WW1 ended. He meets up withOliver Hardy, whose wife owns a beautiful modern Ford convertible (year?) into which Stan manages to accidentally dump a full load of sand from a truck, then attempts to enter a garage with an electric door opener, but accelerates without stopping, smashing the car into pieces.
Hal Roach (directed The Little Rascals) seemed to have a ready supply of Fords to creatively destroy in gag after gag. Most were Model T’s, which were already good for a laugh as being outmoded, and no one cared when they were, variously, sawn in half, crushed between trolley cars, broken at right angles, flattened like a pancake, or ripped apart one piece at a time by an infuriated antagonist. The new Ford convertible in “Blockheads” is an object of admiration and style, and Stan destroying it puts Ollie in trouble with his wife.
You can find Blockheads and other Laurel & Hardy films on Turner Classic Movies and by searching online. Lots of scenes were filmed on the streets of Hollywood, so you can see a wide variety of cars and trucks then in use.
