1932 Ford Deluxe Coupe Blind / Shade Tassel Long shot, has anyone an original / correct rear window blind / shade tassel for a '32 Deluxe Coupe that could send a photo and size detail? Any information much appreciated.

I regret not taking a closeup photo.

Took this picture of a 3W tassel at Hershey 04. So few, so far apart, don't know if its correct or not.

Re: 1932 Ford Deluxe Coupe Blind / Shade Tassel To me, it looks right. My photo was also taken at Hershey, but well before '04.

It may have been Jim Kroll's 3W. The tassel is the first thing I look for when I see a "restored" 3W

Re: 1932 Ford Deluxe Coupe Blind / Shade Tassel Nope, my photo is of a stunningly original car (paint, upholstery, etc.)

Here's what I have from my archives.
On October 27, 1931 Ford released Part No. B-48314-A - Back Window Curtain Tassel for Rose Beck?? Mohair Tan Pinstripe Broadcloth and also Part No. B-48314-B - Back Window Curtain Tassel for Brown Bedford Cord Trim. A copy of the Ford Engineering Drawing and a close-up of the tassel are attached. Maybe these can help with dimensions. |

Re: 1932 Ford Deluxe Coupe Blind / Shade Tassel That picture looks great, thank you!

Re: 1932 Ford Deluxe Coupe Blind / Shade Tassel Dave,
That's the drawing that I used to make the one in my winterleaf brown deluxe coupe. The drawing with the dimensions is a bit of an oddity in that the part number is for a standard coupe plus the date of the drawing is months before Job #1. The part number suggests that it was originally intended to have wider application than just standard coupes. Instead, all of the U.S. closed cars except deluxe coupes ended up with simple tabs o their rear curtains at an obvious cost saving. |
Re: 1932 Ford Deluxe Coupe Blind / Shade Tassel I'll admit to being way out of my knowledge zone of 1935-1936 trucks. I'll let you 1932 experts figure this out. I'm just passing along information from my files. The releases seem to indicate this part was for deluxe models.

Re: 1932 Ford Deluxe Coupe Blind / Shade Tassel I have one in my '33 Deluxe 3w coupe.
