Unity Sportlite name tag change
 

Anyone know the approximate timing of the change in the Sportlite name tage wherein a black background was added an the designation "Model J"?


I am inclined to think that it was in 1932, but perhaps it was earlier.

Lots of good info from Ron. I bought some reconditioned parts from Ron ~9 years ago. Beautiful work.

My Spotlight is from a later era than the Model A as it has a 50W sealed beam bulb. Unity started using sealed beam bulbs in the '40s. It is part of the history of the car so it stays.

If you look close at Police Cars, they still use Unity Spotlights to this day.

It has the silver tag a Ron discribes.
