DeWorn DeLuxe 1 Attachment(s)
I think it's American but I don't know
|
Re: DeWorn DeLuxe From what I've read that is a pretty rare truck style! Supposedly made for companies like Frigidaire to deliver their products to customers. Awesome pic!
|
Re: DeWorn DeLuxe I have parked next to a truck like that at car shows. The truck restoration was spectacular. The same guy also owns a A town car.
|
Re: DeWorn DeLuxe I had an opportunity a couple of years ago to buy a AA truck like that. It wasn't a good fit for me at the time. Still kicking myself....
A town car is another style I'd love to own! |
Re: DeWorn DeLuxe Looks European if not Russia....

Re: DeWorn DeLuxe Somebody here must recognize that language on the banners.Used car lot? Delivery outfit? Things that shoud be shiny on that truck, ain't.Side rails, cowl band, radiator shell, front bumper,.The headlights look European, like the ones on the vehicle next to it.

Re: DeWorn DeLuxe Russian GAZ.
|
Re: DeWorn DeLuxe And "A" not "AA." Wheel rims, wheelbase - distance between passenger door and rear wheel.
It looks like the lead car in the parade celebrating the victory of the workers. Hey. Any reason is a good one for a parade. Just don't ask for time off from work to attend. Joe K |
Re: DeWorn DeLuxe I think that truck is a GAZ because it lacks the stainless steel and chrome plated exterior lights & trim of a USA Deluxe Pickup.
|
Re: DeWorn DeLuxe Russian writing on the banner indicates its a GAZ.
|
Re: DeWorn DeLuxe I had a DeLuxe Gaz pickup on here recently where the rail went all around the back

That is a Russian GAZ-4 (from later 1930's). Note the painted front bumper, the painted bed rails, the shape of the horn, and the painted headlights, etc......and of course the banners in Russian.
Here is another photo of an earlier GAZ-4....."earlier" because of the plated radiator shell and headlight rings. In the later production versions, those were painted black (as per the original photo in #1 above) as a cost saving effort. https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/attac...1&d=1738660246 The GAZ-4's were produced in Russia from September 1933 - 1937 (when the GAZ-A production ended). A total of 5265 GAZ-4's were produced. Brad in Maryland . |
Re: DeWorn DeLuxe Note the rad shell with no widow's peak like an AA. NICE TRUCK
|
Re: DeWorn DeLuxe Ford built this variant in the U.S. too. Ford called it a "service car". I've only seen an AA version up close.
