97 rehab

Can someone remind me who it is that rebuilds the Stromberg 97s?

I'm having a helluva time getting my coupe to start. It acts like it has no fuel. If I use some starting fluid I can get it going but it is still a real pain. Once it starts, it runs really strong and well. If I run it every day, it is OK. If it sits for a week or two, I can't get it started without a lot of effort. I'm thinking I may need to get these carbs checked out by someone a lot smarter than me.

Thanks,
Heard

Uncle Max!!! In addition to being a 97 expert, I believe he handles warranty work for the new 97s. As a plus , he doesn’t use Eastwood carb paint, but restores old castings using the chromate process.

Thanks guys. Just what I needed.

Richard - I already have an electric fuel pump. Makes no difference. But it does act like it is starved for gas.
