34 Bumper bracket on 35 coupe
 

I know its not correct but will they work?
Will 34 rear bumper irons - brackets work on 35-36 ?

I think they will fit, but somebody knows the answer...
I want tighten up the bumper on a 35, but seems short brackets aren't available but I can find them for 34

The 1934 bracket should fit the 1935 bumper just fine (or visa versa). Most likely the brackets will have the wrong hole spacing and angle to fit the body properly. This is not a "known" hot rod trick to me so I expect it will not work without a LOT of modification.

This will be interesting if it works. I suspect Karl is correct that there will be a lot of modifications to make it work.

Rock Valley used to offer short brackets for 35 to pull the bumper closer to the body, but can't seem to find them anymore....

My daughter had some short brackets on order at Yogi's for ages (over a year she thinks) and had pretty much thought it was dead deal and forgot about it, until one day she came home to a mystery package; turned out to be the Rock Valley short irons.

Previously we had compared some stock irons to the short ones on my coupe and decided it wouldn't be a big deal to rework them. Didn't end up doing it so I can't say how it would have worked out.
