Which wiring harness Hello new member here and working on my first stock model an and have a question. I want to replace the wiring harness on my 31 coupe and they list a one bulb and a two bulb. What’s the difference between the two? I would like to wire the headlights as the front turn signals so I’m thinking 2 bulb but not sure if that’s the one to get.

Re: Which wiring harness Hi Ott1930! The difference is in the wiring assemblies to the headlights. The Parts Price List of December 1932 lists A-14403-C 2-Bulb Wiring Assembly and A-14403-D 1-Bulb Wiring Assembly. The difference is the A-14403-C has leads to cowl Lights on the deluxe cars and the A-14403-D has leads to the parking light bulb in each headlight. Alex Janke wrote an excellent article, "Model A Ford Wiring, Keeping The Current Flowing." Do a search for this article and download it.

Re: Which wiring harness Welcome to the barn.
Best use the single bulb harness and make your own loom for the TS. |
Re: Which wiring harness Thank you! I don’t plan on using cowl lights cause I’m not a fan of drilling any extra holes if I don’t have too.

Re: Which wiring harness I got mine from Bert's Part# A-14403-ET and have only good things to say about it. It has the turn signals in the cowl lamps but I am sure if you give them a call something could be worked out. You can buy the headlight socket wiring with single or dual bulbs and it shouldn't be an issue to run the cowl wiring to the headlights because if I remember correctly the front turn signal wires come off of the harness inside the engine compartment.

Re: Which wiring harness Hello, I have seen the parking lights in headlights as turn signals, changed the wire base for a two contact bulb and have to run extra wires for the turn signal control.Parking light wire is connected to lower candle power of bulb.
