1940 Pickup - 8BA Conversion

I've read a lot of the threads on here about putting an 8BA into a 40 ford chassis, but in those threads I don't remember any discussion about the fender yoke conflicting with the 8BA pulley.

I've attached some pictures, what are the options for getting around this issue?

I would remove the weakened yoke and purchase the well made brackets below, or fab your own. The only mod required is enlarging an existing frame hole for the bottom bolt. This also allows more adjustment for fender positioning, and more room around the engine.

I did this on my 40. If the spring is the problem, I think you can fit it below. If it is the cross brace that is fouling, on mine I cut the cross piece and welded in a piece of round bar with an offset bent into it.

The spring on mine is on the bottom of frame and I used a 1940 lowerpully/fan mount which is smaller in diameter. Tim
