Jail Bar One ton on FB

Not mine and don't know anything about it. Bed looks fairly straight and the tail gate is there. From the ad:

This truck may have been converted to a tow truck at one time as there are attachment points in the bed, presumably for a winch, etc. Engine has two generators mounted on top, presumably one was to power the winch. Body is fairly good, with a small amount of rust around the passenger’s side windshield and cab air vent. Flathead 8, manual transmission, tall tires. Needs cab glass and radiator. Mileage is uncertain at the moment, perhaps 60,000, pending research.

Looks like that yard has a lot of iron treasures……good thing I live where iron rusts away quick….I’d have a yard full of iron and probably live alone …….Mark

Stu, this joint is in Minnesota I think. Much closer, but we'll probably never see tonner rears like Tim shows us. Yard is heavy on the Tonners/F3s and all manner of big trucks. If you want to skip past the cornbinders and dodges, the fords start at 12:03.,, It's pretty mind boggling the way some folks have set aside all these trucks.

Yup, Gary, closer than SoCal. And amazing to me that these private yards full of untouched old iron still exist. Josh Madsen aimed me a such a private yard in Idaho a few years back. I hope I can make it back to that one someday. I saved the owners contact info so that I could. Stu

Gary
There is a 41 Tonner at the 12:36 mark in this video that looks to be in very good condition. Its missing the wheel covers which could be hard to find, but other than that presents itself well.
