Re: Shutters Mercman, a shout-out to you for helping enlarge our photos. Many Thanks!

Re: Shutters Yes thanks to the enlarged photo I think that globe says Stop Nox.
|
Re: Shutters A friend and I have a couple of those. One is a Pines, and the other is a Perfex.I just don't remember who has which, they are tucked away in the sheds.I think on one of them you would have to drill 4 holes in the shell to mount it.

Re: Shutters Never heard of Stop Nox gas

The radiator shutter on that Ford Model A was called the "Moto-Gard" and was manufactured by the Brewer-Titchener Corporation, Cortland, NY (note the "Moto-Gard" name plate on the top center of the shutter area.) Here is an era magazine advertisement for that "Moto-Gard" radiator shutter: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/TgUAA...4N/s-l1600.jpg Brad in Maryland . |
Re: Shutters I hd a Pines water front on my 1928 PierceArrowseries 36 made out of German silver. It did a good job of controlling the engine temp in the winter.
|
Re: Shutters I love that magazine ad I especially like the description of the operation of the shutters!!!
