acceleration

This just started happening. When I take the car out the acceleration seems to not come down all the way. I have to tap the gas peddle then it would return to normal. Could this be the return spring?

Check the accelerator linkage on the firewall and the Carb to find the binding area.

I agree with Terry about the sccelerator linkage spring on the firewall. I had one get weak and the accelerator would not return properly. It's an easy fix but requires you to take the accelerator linkage loose or completely off to slip on a new spring.

If it was mine, and if I had that issue, I would certainly add one drop of motor oil to all 'points' that move, swivel or slide - pedal to carb ~

That little drop of oil seems to have worked. Thank you
