Dying Model A interior seats.
 

I was wondering if anybody had dyed seat before and what product was used and how did it do. I just bought my 5th model A (yes the wife is probably going to kill me!)the interior had already been done I just don't like the color. I bought the car a 31 tudor sedan at a good price and it's a good solid car regardless of the seat color I just would like to change if possible. Any insight would greatly be appreciated. What is the material?

I'm not positive for sure its cloth fabric of some type not vinyl except on the trim on Bottom and back of seats and cloth and vinyl on the doors.

Upholstery dye is available in rattle cans. Try a color you can live with.

seat covers are tough to get. def a market for them.

The rattle can dye may work. You need to determine what they are made of. Any material that says poly or nylon contains plastic and regular cloth dyes won't stick to it.
Or just pick up a couple patchwork quilts at a local yard sale......

Thanks for all the great suggestions concerning the dying of the seats. The interior has been done really good, I was thinking about another color for the car but saw this color on a coupe and a tudor what do you all think would the seats kinda match? I know it's my car I can go any color I want just curious on your thoughts of the color. Thanks Robert

The seats will never match a Model A color. Test the material and find a brown or dark grey dye.

I could make you new seat covers out of the correct fabrics, if you want.
