I’m old enough to still remember one local service center still using one of these in the late 50’s.

I lived in Simsbury, Connecticut. I think it was Mitchell Buick.

Brings back a long forgotten memory.

Enjoy.

They were using them clear to the early '70's.

I used one of these in the early 1960's while working for a Olds and Cadillac dealership . As I remember the Harley was sold for around $800 . It was fun to drive .

Not a Harley. That is an Indian Dispatch Tow.

I remember the meter maids driving something like this to give out parking tickets.

Re: Ford and servicycle

The Servicar made by Harley Davidson was the one machine that continued the use of the 45 side valve engine all the way up to 1973. The two wheelers ended with the K model in the early 50s. The engine cases have the G model stamping. Indian and a few others had three wheeled vehicles that were common back in the day. Cushman sort of took it over when they made the enclosed models. I've seen the Cushmans used for parking meter inspection and on many military air fields for all weather movement on the ramps.

Here is a link to the post I did on Frolich Motors. I still need to take a drive to snap a photo of my Coupe out front.
