Looking for a lap robe rope and brackets... 2 Attachment(s)
...for a 1929 Town Sedan. Interior vendors do not include this in their kits and I don't see them offered separately in parts catalogs. It's basically a thick cord wrapped in matching upholstery material suspended between two chrome or nickeled domed housings. Does anyone know of a supplier for this touch of class for a Town Sedan? These pictures are what it looks like attached to the back of the front seat carriage.

The bottom picture is of a SW sedan. The ends for a 1929 TS are slightly different. See the Restoration Guidelines, 12-10. I do not know who supplies the rope. |
Re: Looking for a lap robe rope and brackets... IIRC, there is a steel cable within the lab robe rope to prevent it from stretching. That cable has loops that the screw at each end goes through. Here is a thread from a few years back that discussed these ropes. https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showt...light=Lap+robe
