White Truck, possibly from the late 30's Similar looking models were offered up to the early 50's, but the Grilles were slightly different. |
Re: Who made this truck? Sure looks like a 1935 or 1936 White and one of the larger versions, maybe a 700 series?

Re: Who made this truck? Ok, we have that settled, but what about Dunn Lumber? Old Seattle business, still in the family. I remember many trips there as a kid.

Grille looks the same as the Glacier Park Red Busses made by White. Of the existing bus fleet, 17 are from 1936, 11 are from 1937, 4 are from 1938 and 1 is from 1939. Ford donated over $6 million to renovate the 33 buses, which were originally built in the 1930s. The buses received new chassis, transmissions, power trains, and other components, and were refurbished with their original Cascade Mountain Ash berry color scheme. They were returned to service in 2002.
