I would guess it wasn't the cargo weight that added up,it was the body and the top heavy situation,and the long wheelbase that was needed.That body would never fit on an A chassis,and there was no mid range truck betewen the A and AA.Must have been pretty good pies,look at the building security behind the truck.They probably weren't delivering to a prison.

Would that have been a real late 1929 AA with the type of dish wheels that it's got, or has it been up graded.

It is an early 1930 ( Jan. to June) Truck It has the 30-31 chassis

I've never heard of "Supreme Pies", but heard of "Miracle Pies". Painted on the side of their truck: "Miracle Pies. If it's a good pie, it's a Miracle". :) LRF

It appears the body builder made their own version of the slant windshield, but with the top forward rather than laying back.
