Fresh paint on my 31 T/S
 

Had a busy weekend! Finally got my 31 Town Sedan painted! Used Washington blue with black belt and relief and Tacoma cream as a pin stripe. I have to admit that I am really pleased with how it turned out! It has the cream wheels with white walls. Time to go through the frame and then I'll put it all together!

Thanks! I definitely will do. I have an interior ordered and should be here by Christmas. Hopefully all of the I will have gotten through the mechanical items by then. I'm anxious to get it on the road!

Thanks, I used Nason base coat/ clear coat. A local A expert took the time to get a chip book for Model A's and cross reference them all to new formulas. The colors should be very close to original.

I did the pin stripe. Purists, please cover your eyes........
Since I don't have a steady hand and my cars will never be show cars, the stripes were the first step of a multi step process. I painted the cream first, taped the stripes with 1/8" tape, painted the blue, then finished with the black. I used this process with my Tudor and have gotten compliments about it so I did the same with this one.

You're welcome, I had a friend give me a half gallon of Dupont clear and that's what I used on my fenders and aprons. It seemed to lay smoother than the Nason but I'm not prepared to lay out $800 for the clear and activator. Nason works great on it's own!
