Today in the pickup 3 Attachment(s)
Today I used my pickup to do two jobs, pick up my old triumph and bring it into the shed to fix the clutch so my boys can ride in the all bike drags, plus take some old holden engines back to their place.
An interesting point is my pickup is the oldest vehicle I own ,and it’s transporting the vehicle I have owned for the longest time (1974) It was only ever used for road racing. We stopped at an old abandoned butcher shop for some pics Lawrie |

Re: Today in the pickup I'm trying to tell from the pics....is that a 500cc, 650cc, or a 750cc Trident type Triumph
in the truck bed? |
Re: Today in the pickup I have a 58 BSA A-10 set up in racing trim like that Triumph. When BSA quit racing one of the mechanics bought two of the bikes, and I wound up with one.I believe it was last campaigned in 1963.We actually ran it on the road, but it's not comfortable. You have to kind of lay down with the seat on it.Time flies,it has a 1982 plate on it.

Re: Today in the pickup 2 Attachment(s)
My son took a lot better pics than me, with a nice camera ,the building with the graffiti is an old butcher shop.
The bike is a BSA B31 Frame with a 650 pre unit triumph engine I raced it at some quite well know circuits in NZ and Australia, Whanganui's cemetery circuit, Pukekohe, Eastern creek in Australia.and others The model A is used by all my family, yard work, shifting engine etc, and delivering stuff to the freight depot. Keith, that would be something special ,any pics,I have a mate who is an absolute BSA man who would like to see it. Lawrie |
