Hopefully this will not cause a problem.
I'm completely new to these cars. I have limited experience with model A's.
Are there a couple books to get?
With the model A, I bought the Andrews books.
Is there something similar for T's that everyone buys?

Any of the manuals put out by the Model T Club of America are good for individual components. This link is to the Ford service manual.

Murray Fahnestock's book, The Model T Owner, is also a very good reference. Murray worked for Ford back in the day as it's technical director.

How I became an 'expert'.
Weren't no internet. :D
Ford Service manual, Murray Fahnstock "The FordOwner" (sic), and Ted Aschman "Tinkerin' Tips"
With the internet, the most valuable source is @rotorwrench
