Any Builders/Rebuilders Close to RI?
 

If you read my message on the "What did you do today that was Model A related?" post, I mentioned that I am going to either rebuild my current engine or get a Burtz engine built. But the closest site on the Burtz page was in PA and I can image that shipping costs aren't too kind. Does anyone in the RI/CT/MA have any local builders of Burtz or rebuilders of Model A engines that they have used before?

J and M machine company in Southborough MA.
They do very good work and specialize in babbit.

J and M Machine has been removed from the BurtzBlock web page and will be removed from the next revision of the "Builders Guide".

We are full service machine shop that have done many Model A engines for your club, Mike1291 "Little Rhodies" along with "Marcom", "Worcester county-Minute Man club."As well as other Model A' engines and engines in general from around the country.

We are not Limited to just Model A engine as we do just about everything old to new. As you may notice in the picture of PT boat engine we've done.

I had A model a engine done by J&M Machine Company in Southboro, MA. After using another machine shop and was unsuccessful I discovered J&M and the two brothers were fantastic. They gave the expertise advice from the beginning of the project to the end. They sent me pictures of the progress, precision of parts installed and gave me guidance on any other part of the car that would give me the most longevity of the engine. The turnaround time was very reasonable and I was very happy in the engine.

J an M is supposed to be the best on the east coast.
