Oil Pressure Sender Hole Size

I know, kinda weird question but, after removing a broken off brass fitting I need to do some clean up on the block hole where the pressure sender goes in. Trying to measure the sender itself I'm looking at about 1/2 x12 but if someone could confirm I'd really appreciate. Thanks.

That was the other thing, confirming it was pipe or straight.
