To remove the small center cap you drill a small hole in the back of the big cap. Then used compressed air in the hole to blow off the small cap. Be sure to have some padding to catch the small cap. Powder coating the big cap may not be a good idea as the coating may be too thick to allow the small cap to be put back on.

Drilled a small hole slowly
Blew air
Poped right off
Just got to drill slow through the cap and not all the way through

Anyone have 2 caps for sale

Joe,

I have 3 random wide-5 hubcaps I'd let go cheap. I think they are '36 and '37,but am not sure (I'm an 8BA guy). Two have the v8 emblem impressed in, and one has it pressed out They are driver quality with minor scuffs, but one of is pretty nice with just a small scratch.

Let me know if they would help.

1937 Ford Hubcap
Notice that the designs are the same on both Hubcaps.
However, it is recessed for 1936 and raised for 1937
