Victoria A400 and Deluxe tudor front set adjusters I have been looking for the adjustable front seat pieces that are located at the rear of each corner of the seat, for YEARS! 3/8" NC thread with a single lock nut. I had someone find some and buy them for me at Hershey last year and they were unusable. How does the bottom of the metal clad adjuster become worn all the way through? Reproduction items are not even close to looking like the originals!

Re: Victoria A400 and Deluxe tudor front set adjusters I've never been able to find a set, so I just made my own. Not perfect, but they work. Not sure why they're so hard to find.

Re: Victoria A400 and Deluxe tudor front set adjusters if the clad on the bottom is the only thing that is bad. you can replace them with a modified freeze plug. you trim the plug down, then heat it red hot and peen it over the foot.

Could someone send me a picture of what they look like? I have a piece of 2x4 laying on the floor to keep the back of my front seat level.

Re: Victoria A400 and Deluxe tudor front set adjusters Sounds like a great solution. I had taken a early sport coupe "button" from the side fake hinge, machined off the square at the bottom of the stud, cut it the fine thread from the piece and welded a 3/8 NC piece of threaded rod. The foot or the buttom part was not strong enough and it failed.

I ended up making feet out of some all thread and accelerator pedals. They work and look okay for now.

Super idea! |
Re: Victoria A400 and Deluxe tudor front set adjusters I have been looking for the support studs for my Vicky also, but no luck. Presently, the previous owner had used a 3/8 x" bolt and the 9/16" bolt head really buries into the carpet. How should it be attached to the bottom of the seat? When the bolt is inserted into the receiving hole, it doesn't even make contact the "nut" until it is 1 1/8" in. The dimensions of the original studs are approximately 2 1/2" long which wouldn't leave much for height adjustment. Would a "T-nut" work?
Any help would be appreciated. ps: I tried Bert's and was told there haven't been any available for some time. |

Re: Victoria A400 and Deluxe tudor front set adjusters Lots of options in the furniture leveling foot aisle. They won't pass fine point but your carpet will thank you.
