Who is the authority on 150* Station Wagon bodies??
 

With Tim passed on, who is now the knowledgeable person(s) on 150A or 150B bodies? More specifically regarding the plywood.

These bodies were produced in such limited quantities that there are likely fewer model A specific builder now days. The woodie guys tend to offer service to any or all makes of station wagons. One outfit started out in furniture restorations but found a niche in car body restoration.

In aviation, when working with the old wood wing types, I've always gravitated toward the marine or aircraft grade poplar mahogany plywoods so I have no idea what other grades or types are out there commercially. You likely have more information about the model A types than most folks do now.

Hi Brent I am a long time member of the Woody Wagons. I finished my wagon in 1986 and Tim helped in printing the original Ford mylar drawings. I used 9ply i/2 inch birch plywood. That plywood is used in fine cabinetry. It comes from Finland and is in 5x5 feet sheets. Very nice to work with. There maybe orther countries that produce that fine plywood. That plywood is a A panel on both sides. May be plugged on one side so you would have to work around that. Hope that helps. John
