'36 Coupe top of door seal I was ordering the seal that installed on the top of the doors 48-702 0532. On my car they are installed on the door, sure look like they belong there. On Dennis Carpenters site it says they are installed on the body.
They go on the door, right? |
Re: '36 Coupe top of door seal 1935/36 cars have a steel channel on the door to hold the rubber seal. 1937/48 the rubber seal glued to the body.

Re: '36 Coupe top of door seal Be sure to clean out every bit of the old seal.
Lube up the new seal along with the channel, grab the end with a vice grip, and pull it in all at once without stopping. If it gets stuck, stop, work it back out, double check the channel, lube it again, and give it another try. |
Re: '36 Coupe top of door seal Good info guys .
Sounds like fun. Cant wait. Long ways off on 36’ 3W project. THANKS |
Re: '36 Coupe top of door seal What would be the best lube? Dish soap?

Dish soap seems to get "gummy" for me. Glass cleaner is also popular choice; note some glass cleaners are slipperier than others. |
