It stops beeping - makes it hands free to find the detent.

The standard Ford timing pin is simple, elegant and easy to use. I have a hard time understanding all the issues people have using it. Henry would be rolling over in his grave if he saw that his simple pin was being replaced with a complicated, electronic battery powered device.

Ditto. Another unneeded device.

Re: Cam gear timing

Clever, frees up your hands, simple, but hearing the beep next to a freeway/road noise might need revisiting.

Re: Cam gear timing

I have sold a few hundred of the tools to this date and everyone has been satisfied with the quality and how much easier it is to use. it is not an unnecessary tool if you only have use of only one arm, back problems or just find it is difficult to do using the original method.

I watched the video but did not hear the beep. Maybe because I don't hear anything.
