Open car 29 shindshield weatherstrip question

I am getting ready to install the windshield on my 29 phaeton. The question I have is the proper way to cut the weatherstripping ends to make it like original. I am not sure if the rubber is cut straight or if it is cut at an outward angle. I installed the rubber weatherstripping just the way it was sent to me and not cut the other end yet. I am posting a picture of what it looks like now. It doesn't seem quite right to me. I was thinking maybe the upper T part should be cut back slightly so the main lower part protrudes a little from the edge of the side metal. I plan to let the rubber rest for a few days to make sure it doesn't shrink back after being pulled into the bottom channel before I cut the end off. Any help would be appreciated.

Rusty, All I could come up is this familiar factory photo of a ‘28 roadster. I guess I would shoot for a cut parallel to vertical part of the window frame and extend an 1/8” past it at most. Window seal install you must be getting close to completion of the Phaeton restoration. Mine has a long ways to go. Still in the metal working stage. Slow & steady will eventually get it done. John

John,
Thanks for the response. I am thinking about doing what you suggested. Cut the rubber a little outside the vertical part and parallel to it. I have all the extensive welding and body work done and everything is painted. I posted a picture of the car as it is now. I am installing stuff like the runningboards and fenders. I gave up on the installing doors for now, as they wont fit even though everything is original. I think I will need to have someone above my ability fit and install them.
