Water pump packing

Oil leaking from water pump packing nut. Where can I get 2 split rings and grease? Will this solve my problem?
First problem, why is there oil dripping in the first place? I'm puzzled. Solution?
All help appreciated.

If you plan on driving your car a lot or just hate fiddling with it, then I would suggest a new leakless water pump. See https://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/p...4030&cat=41793

Eventually the leakless water pumps leak, so I put split ring packing in them to stop the leakage.
