1937 Coupe Firewall Insulator

I am in the process of replacing the original wiring on my coupe and have decided to replace the worn, damaged and altered over the years, firewall Insulator pad. After searching for a source, it looks like Joe's Antique Auto Parts is one of the few I see that sells them. Just checking to see if anyone has ordered and installed one and has been pleased with the product and supplier before I hit the order button. As always, thanks for the feedback. Nate Anello

After more research, I found this company Quiet Ride Solutions as a supplier of the firewall insulator. They manufacture them and from looking at their website and Joe's Antique Auto site, I believe Joe's buys them from Quiet Ride and resells them. There would be a small savings if I bought it direct from Quiet Ride but decided to purchase it from Joes to do my part to help a known good supplier for the hobby. Nate

You will be happy with the "Quiet Ride" insulator. I would also buy from Joes or V-8 vendors who have them in stock.

Not to hijack this thread but I was going to insulate with kilmat (like dynomat). Looks like quiet ride would be a lot more expensive but is it much better in terms of quieting things? I’m willing to pay up for a quiet ride (my kids hate the noise).

Don't skimp on the quality of a firewall insulator as you usually will only install one once.

Busmania, You buy glass packs for the sound but your kids hate the noise.
Tell your kids to buy you a Tesla.

My firewall insulator from Joe's arrived today, looks good. Took about two weeks for production and delivery. Not crazy about the look of the foil backing showing through in places, but I'll get it blacked out. It will be much better than the worn original for sure. Need to weld in a couple floor pan patch panels prior to installation. I'll update after installation

BlindHuck, not too long ago
We used a Quite Ride firewall pad in our 39’ Tudor.
Fit real nice.
Holes in correct position.
I used a big black Sharpie inside the holes .
Stretch

Stretch, you read my mind, that's exactly what I was going to use. Thanks for the confirmation that it worked. Nate
