hello my car does not seem to be all original. after installing the seat, the clearance from bottom of steering wheel to seat is only 6" and the distance from front edge of seat to pedal in depressed position is 26" which seems too long. do these distance seem ok? or does seat needs to be moved more foreward and if so how much. im 5'10" 165 lbs. ive tried to send a sketch below

Your best bet for an answer to your question is to post it on the Model A section of the fordbarn.com forum.

It's tight, but not 6" tight. Can you upload a picture of your set up?

My stock 31 roadster, 6 3/4' seat to wheel, and 23 1/2" top corner of seat to the floor at the pedal hole
