Shipping NOS axles I thought this was a good way to ship axles to Austraulia.
Took months to get there. Arrived intact too! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dA7nP94W51M I have been trying to outsmart USPS when I ship sets of rebuilt, or core shocks, with some mind boggling damage avoided so far. Bolting down the shocks to a plywood base works good. The reinforced shipping tape helps. |
Re: Shipping NOS axles Bob, for a package to come by surface from the US, 5 months is normal. That is about the same time as when ships had sails. If US customs wants to look at what is in a container, add another couple of months and MANY more $. Why US customs would want to search containers LEAVING the US, I don't know but I've lost several items that way and there is no way of retrieving them. :(

Re: Shipping NOS axles I sent a hefty package to Australia awhile back via FedEx. Got there in about 10 days but price tag was hefty also!
