Carb Rebuild Gentleman, Does anyone know of the guy in New York that rebuilds the carb on a 33 model 40? I believe it is a Rochester

Re: Carb Rebuild In 34 Ford used both the 40 and 48. The two Carbs were identical in outward appearance, with the difference being the inside of the top and center sections. At sometime near 35 Ford had Stromberg mark the die casting "48" to distinguish Ford Carbs from Carbs used by other car Mfg. due to Fords rebuilding program.

The "40" designation came from the Ford part number prefix for 1934 automobiles. The 40's are very similar to 48's with the exception of the upper idle channel circuits.
