Front window drainage - 37

There are two little holes (one either side) of where the front window folds back into (sill drainage holes). Mine were blocked but now unblocked. I can see what remains of drainage hose attached to said drainage hole pipes. Where do these hoses go?

I believe the rubber drain hoses go down the side of the cowl, behind the kick panels and drain out of a hole in the bottom of the cowls near where the running board meets the fender.

Another Ford mystery… Those drain hoses empty inside, just inches from the final exit below the car. Probable good intentions but assembly line sequence prevented access to bottom drain hole. We’ll never know.

Make sure the bottom of the cowl has a clean outlet for the water. If the windshield drains were plugged you can bet the cowl is also plugged.

Very good point. When I installed new drain hoses on my very original '37, I made sure those passages were clean and clear of dirt.
