Shoebox door removal help

Heading out to a field that has a 50 ford sitting there with a door I need. What tools should I take to remove the door? I'm sure the hinge screws are rusted. No electrical outlets for any power tools, all I have is some hand tools. Any suggestions would be appreciated as I have never done this before. Thanks

Take six-point sockets and if the bolts don't want to seem as they want to come out, then twist them in and hopefully, break them off.
If possible, bring an oxy/acetylene torch with you and cut the heads of the bolts off.

Those hinges are held on by Phillips screws so a hand impact or cordless drill to drill them out. As a last resort a sawzall to cut the hinges.

I believe the bolts you intend to remove on the chassis are have a phillips head. With a sturdy screwdriver give them a wack on the screwdriver with a big hammer. If you can get penetrating oil in behind on the threads and let it soak for DAYS. Heat is your friend, as I recall I got the heads red hot with oxy/acetylene and then let them cool. The big issue is to NOT strip the phillips head. Buy, rent or borrow a battery operated impact hammer if they cannot be removed by hand. If the chassis is toast blow the heads off with the oxy/acetylene. Good luck!

This is a very difficult task; even more so if the car has been sitting in the field for any length of time. Unless you have an Oxy/Acetylene unit or a portable air compressor, be prepared to spend hours with a good rechargeable drill (and spare batteries).

About the only thing that even makes this even a remotely reasonable task is shown in this thread on the H.A.M.B. : https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...ade-easy.6015/.

Perhaps you could get really lucky and the door you want had been replaced recently.

Drill the countersunk heads off of the machine screws?

Probably the best suggestion yet. But again, bring spare batteries.

You might be able to drill the heads of the bolts off after you have turned the phillips head shape into a round shape with punches. Bring lots of bits.
