I have what I believe is a Ford spare tire lock. It has the number A-18330-A stamped on the base along what looks like two stampings of Oak trees and the word "OAKES" under the trees. The key is stamped A1187 on one side and a sideways diamond with a "B" on the other side (I think it's a "B" - hard to read). The threads are 1/2"-20 (fine thread).

I don't know exactly how these locks are supposed to work, but the key won't turn anything, so it may be just a ket somebody put in it.

I looked online and in my copy of the Ford "bible' and the A-18... are spre tire locks, but I don't see that number. I also looked under the Model A part numbers, but the number isn't there, either.

Anyone know what year vehicle the lock is for ??
