Slip Plate +2

Re: special leaf spring lube Before I assemble the spring, I paint it with primer that I have loaded with powdered graphite. Once assembled, I then give it a coat of black. The graphite is a great lubricant and the paint holds it in place.

Re: special leaf spring lube Springs should never be assembled with grease. It attracts dirt and dirt makes good grinding compound.
Slip plate is good.(graphite base) Dry film Moly is twice as good. (Molybdenum disulfide base) |
Re: special leaf spring lube I used Slip plate also with spring covers (some call them gators) to keep dirt and water off springs.
