Columbia decal

Is there a correct or preferred location for a Columbia 2 speed decal? My car is a 1933.

I don't think there is a correct location, but a good location would be the inside lower left or right corner of the windshield.

Re: Columbia decal

I doubt a decal came with the Columbia installation kit. Early 34 Columbia were called Dual Ratios not Two Speed. I believe the first Columbia sale ads were in 1934.

John Connelly included the decal with the kit he built for me.

Re: Columbia decal

Many vendors carry the Columbia decal and I suspect it was the real deal to advertise their product. I put one on the wind wing of a '40 coupe that I once owned.

A Columbia was not an authorized accessory in 1933. Thus, there can't be a "correct" location for a decal.

I put the "winged gear" one in the lower left corner of the windshield on my '28 A roadster pickup.

I want to replace the windshield in my '33. Where can I buy a replacement decal?

I have seen the decal in Mac's Auto Parts catalog.

Thanks Terry. I looked at Mac's. They are out of stock. Thanks for the suggestion.

Re: Columbia decal

Back in the day there was a cast metal badge that you could bolt to your grille or front bumper. Auburn cars in the 1930s had a Columbia rear axle as a standard fitting with the controls in the center of the steering wheel. Regards, Kevin.

Try C and G Parts or CW Moss. Both advertise in the V-8 Times.
