Club Tag Topper 2 Attachment(s)
Please post your club's tag topper.
This is the current tag topper of the Model "A" Ford Club of Long Island. It was produced by O'Brien Truckers. This topper is a 0.25" thick aluminum sand casting designed to mount on a stock "A" taillight bracket. |

Re: Club Tag Topper 2 Attachment(s)
I highly recommend O'Brien Truckers to make tag toppers because they have many years of experience, and the company does excellent quality work.
https://www.obrientruckers.com/toppers.html Dennis O'Brien will guide you in preparing the artwork to be sure your design is doable as a sand casting. The Model "A" Ford Club of Long Island has a large membership, so I ordered in excess of 100 pieces in stages in a year's time. The tag toppers for the Model "A" Ford Club of Long Island have a price of $30 each to club members. Members paid in advance to minimize pressure on the club's treasury, but some extra toppers were bought to round up the quantity to meet O'Brien's minimum order quantity. The extras were sold in our club's store and they sold-out quickly. |
Re: Club Tag Topper Thank you all who posted pictures of their club's tag topper. They are all nice. In my opinion, every Model "A" club should have a unique topper for their club cars.

Re: Club Tag Topper 1 Attachment(s)
We had an original and sent this to the supplier and he copied it. Then I hand painted them all and sanded them. We had to order 25 at a time to get a good deal.

Re: Club Tag Topper I was showing The Wretched Roadster recently and a fellow from a hot rod club studied my plate topper (see comment #10 above from Brian SATX) very carefully, took some pictures, and asked about how I found it. He mentioned there is another version with the outline of The Alamo in the center, rather than the side. Evidently some people collect them. Another deep rabbit hole…

Re: Club Tag Topper 1 Attachment(s)
Had these made as a Telluride Rotary Club fund raiser. They’re reproductions of toppers that the Idarado mine employees had in the 1950’s. Found the source in a Hemmings ad.

Re: Club Tag Topper I have a beginners 3-d printer. If I ever decide to figure that thing out, and play with it maybe I can make one out of plastic, and paint it. Could always use it as a mold if I wante d to cast it later.
