46 Conventional Truck Cab Corners

Asking for a Canadian friend. He is looking for a Driver side, Front, lower cab corner sitting above the frame rail. His has rotted away. He thought someone might be making them OR looking for that area/section cut from a donor cab.
Any thoughts or help appreciated.
Thank you!

The '40-'41 cab is essentially the same and they have been a more popular truck to restore over the years. Maybe search for cab corners for a 1940 pickup.

I must have not gotten this correct--is he looking for the cab corners behind the drivers door or the cab support area in front of the door?

Midwest early ford shows them (don't know if they have any).

He is looking for the LF Driver Lower outside cab corner, section right on top of wood block, that area apparently rotted away from road salt exposure.
His cab is good otherwise, Midwest has nothing.....
Thanks!!

I'm still kinda confused.... I think of cab corner as behind the door. The wood block in that area is sitting on the frame quite a ways inboard. The forward corner is right on top of a wood block and is mostly covered by the front fender. On a completed truck we see only about an inch of it at the bottom. I would call this a cowl patch, but I'm certainly no expert on auto body terminology. Edit: On re-reading your last post I see you have the 'LF' in there. This would be in front of the door. Still think calling it a cab corner might have confused a vendor or two.

Re: 46 Conventional Truck Cab Corners

GB,
You are right, i too am confused about the RIGHT terminology. Cowl patch may be the better term. It is the area above the wood block that sits between frame rail & front of cab. Hidden by fender when installed. The photo i have seen of his cab shows that area really rotted away from salt, fertilizer type exposure. Have not seen that on many cabs i have sen in the past. The passenger side is in good shape. I think he will have to fabricate a new metal corner piece. I dont think anyone makes that patch & it would be tough to find someone who would cut that corner out of a good cab to fix his.....

Over here on the West side of the state it's hard for us 'coasties' to find any good corners on any cabs. I have made that patch a few times. With my backwoods auto body skills, it's a darn good thing that fender covers 90% of the patch.
