31 slant chassis differences Evening y'all, got a strange one for you. I heard that the slant window fordors had different mounting holes than other A frames and that one can only put a slant body on a frame from another slant unless one drills the frame. Is this the case or was I told wrong? Since the slant is such a radical change from the standard fordor body that preceded it, it would not surprise me if it is so. Let me know if the info I have is correct or not, and if it's just holes in the frame that need redrilling, is there a diagram that shows where they need to go? I may have found a slant body and I know of a good 31 chassis that came from a coupe, can they be married together, or is it a match made in you-know-where
? thanks for any info y'all can come up with. |
Re: 31 slant chassis differences The slants have an additional mounting point known as “no. 6” bracket. Right about wherr the latch pillar is set.
Also, late in straight production into 31, the bracket under the cowl at the hinge pillar was repositioned backward. Hope that makes sense!! |
Re: 31 slant chassis differences No need to drill anything. Just add the extra bracket
